For more information, please visit Opportunity Profile: POSITION PURPOSE The Internal Audit Intern will execute on detail audit programs by performing audit testing through some combination of inquiry, observation, inspection and re-performance to achieve objectives for financial audit, operational audits, and special projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare high quality audit work papers that are organized and well documented. Ensure accounting transactions and balances are recorded in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles and company policy. Ensure compliance, quality and operational processes are functioning efficiently, effectively and in accordance with company policy. Document understanding of processes through narratives, flow-charts and transactional walk through support. Effectively communicate findings as a result of audit procedures to internal audit seniors and managers, as well as finance and operations management. Perform other duties as assigned. Reporting Structure: Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE Basic knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards. Basic knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Language English is required Computer skills Excel, Word, and PowerPoint capability is preferred Strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and leadership skills SUPERVISION Position functions with supervision. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Minimum 3.0 GPA and pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, business or computer science. Must have completed sophomore year of college. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS None required LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking or stooping. Travel willingness to travel 25% of the time (both domestically and internationally).
